This article walks the reader through a dynamic multimedia lesson whereby students learn the concept of classification using 21st Century Skills! Students are introduced to terms and diagrams associated with plant anatomy, take digital photos of plants, and research plant charateristics. Students then organize their information by writing a short narrative to support their findings. Their research is then turned into an audio and visual presentation. According to Bob Regan, "When students take a picture and have to describe it, they're learning how to verbalize the essential meaning." In other words, they're more engaged!
